I have a 2003 Honda Accord with stock Navi and in-dash 6 disc cd changer, what aux converter is required for me to install a sirius radio thru the aux port?? I have looked but can"t seem to get a clear answer. If anyone can help me, I would really appriciate it.
Thanks |

You can use the HON/AUX DMX V.2X. It will work fine in your application.

I just finished this install myself over the weekend - first person I know who has done it (even called the dealership who said it couldn't be done on Navi). A little trickier than the non-Navi install (http://iaudiophile.net/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.35) but follows the same principles. I used the following hardware:
1) http://www.logjamelectronics.com/sounsnhond3.html 2) http://www.logjamelectronics.com/piehon03fmm1.html 3) RCA to 3.5MM audio cable The tricky part is that w/Navi there is no obvious connection on the bottom of the stock radio as shown in picture 5 of this posting (http://iaudiophile.net/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.35). Instead tucked away up and to the left side of the radio/Navi unit there is a male connector cable that plugs into the female end of the Y harness (don't be afraid to tug it down a bit - they'll most likely have it tapped up like mine was). Then you connect the male end of the SNHOND3 cable to the other female end of the Y harness (don't have the male end of the Y cable connected to anything - essentially the Y cable is being used as a male to male connector). Then I ran the cabling around carefully/neatly and all works very well. I can use either my iPod or Sirius Stilleto. The only thing I need to work on is my ground - I get a little engine humming through the speakers when using the Sirius but not with the iPod. I hope this helps. I would love to put Sirius in my '04 Accord w/ Nav because I'm really not enjoying XM as much anymore. But if I did that, I really would like to be able to control the satellite from the radio and steering wheel.
I'm looking into an aux port install though. I tried to get some more advice over in this thread: http://logjam.d3datasolutions.com/forums/i...&#entry5437 Let's see how it goes. Meanwhile, I hope this merger between XM and Sirius goes through because then hopefully, I'll have all Sirius channels in my '04 Accord w/ Nav. |

UPDATE (04/06/08) - You can now put factory-like Sirius into your '03 to '08 Acura and Honda vehicles by using the HON-SC1 Honda-to-Sirius Interface and the SC-C1 Sirius tuner and antenna.
Currently, there isn't anything available that would put factory-like Sirius into your Honda vehicle. We do know that Soundgate is working on a Honda/Acura-to-Sirius interface, but are several months away from release. P.I.E. was working on a similar device but has put it on the shelf for now. |

Sorry to bring an old thread back to life but what's the latest on putting factory-like Sirius in my '04 Accord? (Although, now with the merger looking like it's going to happen, I may not need to worry about this in the near future) |
